G Howard Clippinger was named the 18th Citizen of the Year at a Chamber of Commerce dinner at Rawiga Country Club. Ben Bodager received a $10 prize. United Fund names new president and officers
Ben Bodager was named president of United Fund at the annual meeting held Thursday at Rittman Savings Bank. James W. Frye became vice president and director, with Robert Gillman, for three year terms. Thelma Gwaltney was hired as executive secretary and named Fund treasurer. Retiring directors were A. J. Broadhurst and Mrs Gwaltney after six years. Robert Pait, 1968 campaign chairman, reported a pledge total of sixteen thousand seven hundred eighty eight, short of the seventeenth thousand five hundred goal.
