The coon pelts shown come from hunters near Milton township who chased the elusive animal on mild nights. The Farmers Sportsmen's League buys live coons captured by trappers, then releases them to improve next year's hunt as about 40 remain in captivity.

New members Emmett Griner Harry Griner Wade Rohrer and C G Haulk joined. Herald Mougey was named chairman of the foreign relief committee to aid Europe. John Wenger will replace Steve Kovacs on the scout committee.
Ohio Salt Co stockholders are summoned to a meeting at Wadsworth offices on Tuesday afternoon January 27 to vote on a proposed agreement with Worcester Salt Co a Morton Salt Co subsidiary that would involve transfer of stock ownership.

Rittman High Indians rallied in the final period to beat the Dalton Bulldogs 68 to 52 Friday night in Dalton. Evans and Hardgrove led scorers with 23 points each including 11 field goals and a free throw for Dalton and Rittman respectively. In the junior game, Rittman defeated the Dalton junior Bulldogs 24-23.
The village and contractors settled key points for an allotment project. Contractors will rough grade streets while the village finishes grading and applies surface material with available equipment. Congerl to cover half the cost of land for right of way.
Thieves broke into the James Hile garage at the south edge of town Monday night. They forced the rear door latch and stole tools, tires, a car radio, drills, and other items totaling about $1,000 in value. Authorities noted tire rack damage and snow tracks suggesting three men involved. Police Chief Charles Heffelman and the sheriff's department investigated.
Bill Brenneman chairs the Rittman campaign with Ralph Krabill Ernest Harrison and C E Rhonemus on the Wayne county drive. Last year Wayne contributions reached 3750 dollars as the National Infantile Foundation sent 7250 dollars and 11500 was spent by Dec 1 on county cases. The Wayne County Chapter American Red Cross directors and executive committee will hold their annual meeting on Tuesday January at 800 pm in the Central Ohio Light and Power Co rooms in Wooster. All are urged to attend.

C G Haulk chairs arrangements with Don Beery Robert Steiner and Mrs Harrison assisting. Lewis Hoover leads the orchestra task and membership drive with Robert Steiner and Ray Armbrust assisting.
