Fred D Fletcher opens Fletcher Radio and Television Repair in Rittman at 146 S Main St last Saturday morning. The Barberton resident offers radio and TV work sound systems amplifiers and Philco service. He studied at Tri State College Indiana and spent two years at Wright Field Dayton as a sound engineer and inventor of a unique amplifier. He holds a pilot license and has flown publicly broadcasting from an airplane with his amplifier.

Crash Breaks Pole and Cuts Power in Rittman
Robert Johnson and Sylvester Joyce of Rittman were slighted injured when their car struck and snapped an electric pole with a transformer on Sterling Road. The Slaters at F. R. Slater residence lost power until noon after the pole was replaced by O P S Co. No charges were filed. Earlier, a pole near Seille fell during heavy rain, disrupting power and triggering clock failures.

Red Light Crash Reported by Two Girls
Two schoolgirls acted as volunteers for the police after narrowly being struck by a traffic violator who also crashed a traffic light. Suzanne Taylonisz and Lou Brown recorded the license number and told Mayor Bud Hoover at city hall. The incident occurred near E Ohio Ave and Main at about 4 p.m. last Monday.

Juanita May Bennett Dies After Weeklong Illness
Juanita May Bennett age 22 died Tuesday evening at Akron City Hospital after a weeklong illness. She was survived by her parents Rev Dewey R Bennett and Mrs Bennett, one sister Dorothy Jean, and grandparents Mr and Mrs W A Sapp of Lexington Kentucky. The body will be shipped to Kerr Brothers Funeral Home in Lexington for services Saturday at 2 pm with interment in Lexington Cemetery.
