Three Arts Club elects Ulm to lead for 1946
Mrs R W Kenneth Ulm of Akron will be president of the Three Arts club for the year starting September 1946 after officers were elected at the annual dinner meeting at Kaase's Restaurant in Akron Monday night. Other officers include Mrs Karl Gilman as vice president Miss Madeline Bixel as secretary treasurer and Miss Mary Ethel Cummings in charge of arrangements. The roll call prompt was My Most Embarrassing Moment. The next meeting will be at Mrs John Winkler's on February 4.

A government engineer and Charles Maine deputy state fire marshal inspect a Willow Brook two bedroom apartment gutted by a blaze last Thursday at 7 p m. Officials doubt wiring caused the fire which occurred while the occupants were away. Mr and Mrs Willard Gasser, their son and another couple occupied the unit and lost all belongings. Damage estimated at 1500 dollars.

Clyde Kindig, principal of the First Street school building and summer recreation director of Rittman, was named water board clerk replacing Clayton Kunkler who resigned after about a year. Kindig began work this week collecting water tents at City Hall in the evenings. At the organization meeting A J Grant was elected chairman with Harold Brown as vice chairman and Fred DeMaria as the third member.
