School Musical Groups Formed at Rittman High
Lawrence Chambers, director of music, organized a high school band of 16 members and a beginners instrument class of 11 at Rittman High. The school also runs a violin class for seven and a seventh/eighth grade violin unit with free lessons and instrument use this week. Chambers proposes a community chorus of at least 60 voices to accompany the school orchestra and possibly Easter cantata.

Cap Miller of Sterling endured two accidents Tuesday that forced him to end his trip home. He was driving with a small load of coal when a wheel came off at the Wheeling and Lake Erie crossing on Jackson road. After securing a replacement, he steered into a ditch while returning home. The coal was moved to Sterling on Wednesday.

Hold Funeral Rites For Mrs Emiline Rohrer
Funeral services were held last Thursday for Mrs. Emiline Rohrer 73 at the Lower Mennonite church. Interment followed in the church cemetery. She died New Year's morning after two strokes, a week after her brother Elias Friedt. She lived with the Friedts at Acme and was sister to Lavina Hougeworth of Rittman.
