Housewives Help In Meat Price Laws
Complaints say butchers fail to post selling prices or grade marks on meat trays in the Cleveland OPS office report. Ralph M. Feldenthaler notes this violates federal price relations and urges housewives to report violations to the Cleveland district OPS at 1101 Huclid Ave. A short staff limits inspector visits in the district. Some butchers evade hamburger ceilings by mislabeling lean versus regular grades, selling at 81 cents a pound instead of 68 cents with higher fat content.
