Death of John Beery at 22 Near Rittman
John Beery 22, son of Mr and Mrs Isaac Beery, died at the Beery home near Rittman after a bout with influenza. He was unmarried and helped on the farm. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Apostolic church south of Rittman, with German and English sermons by Rev J Fulber of Mansfield and Rev Ernest Graf of Akron. Only Mrs Beery attended the burial. The family was confined by influenza at home.

Sophomore Class Party At Bueh School Gym
Sophomore students hosted a party at the Bueh School Gym on Wednesday evening February 17 1920. About 15 attended with seven faculty members one senior two freshmen and one grade pupil. Games continued late with a light lunch and plenty of ice cream before adjourning at around 11 with happy hearts and full stomachs.

Rittman High School Lecture Series Announces March Event
The fourth item in the Rittman high school lecture course will be held Tuesday in the high school auditorium. The Franerm Hendry Co. provides the attraction with musicians and impersonators of noted standing. The fifth and final act is scheduled for a yet unscheduled date in March.

Krabill, employed seven months at Ohio Boxboard Co, buys a half interest in his father's grocery at Sterling and starts new work there. He married last fall and bought a Seneca Street home in Rittman, now for sale. He will commute to Sterling daily until plans for moving are made.

The Rittman council has paid nothing to the C S and C Ry for four months of street lighting at 166 dollars per month. Officials say service has been poor and payments were delayed to secure better service under a contract running to 1924.
