Civil case arbitrated over farm labor claim in Creston
C B Fetzer of Creston sued Frank Jones on Sterting Avenue for 9480 claiming wages for labor at Jones farm. Arbitrators Frank Longenecker MoE Lance and J HE Smith heard the case with no trial. They awarded Fetzer 1980 with each party paying half costs. Jones offset the claim with wages due two of his sons for three months in summer 1919.

Death of Miss Inez Kauffman Near Canton
Miss Inez Kauffman lived south of Rittman and died at relatives home near Canton while aiding sick kin during a flu outbreak. She had been residing in Michigan for years and was about 40, born 1880. The funeral was held Wednesday and burial followed at Sweeter cemetery.

Life long resident Robert Fritz dies in Shinersburg
Life long resident of Rittman and Wooster area Robert B. Fritz died February 12 at his Shinersburg home at nearly 60 after prolonged illness. He lived in Rittman most of his life, was bedfast weeks before death, funeral held at his home Sunday with burial in Shinersburg cemetery. Rev. DeFoe led services. pallbearers were Byrn Gish Walter Shook Reuben Fisher Pardee Sigler Leonard Lane J. Bo Hickin.

The father died in 1900 and the illness that afflicted him for six months remained undetermined by physicians.
