Chippewa Valley Bank directors approved a regular semi-annual dividend of 1.10 per share and a 0.20 per share special extra dividend. President A. J. Broadhurst noted the regular dividend rose to 2.20 per share annually, with payments to stockholders of record as of December 20 and payment December 31. The bank operates offices in Rittman and Chippewa Lake.

The Middle School held Thursday night concerts in the auditorium. Readers for the world customs section included Susan Britton David Caid Doug Cook Jo Engle Mary Lou Gasser David Heffelman Linda Miracle Brian Mohler Gary Wilson and Norman Zollinger. The sixth grade chorus sang Deck the Halls We Three Kings and O Tannenbaum, followed by the eighth grade chorus with Christmas Candles and Caroling Caroling.

The eighth grade choir included Sherrie Berger Brenda Cragg Gayle Ellis Joan Halliwell Kim Hughes Karen Jackson Cindy McCloud Robin Perry Reggi Robbins Joan Taylor Lora Thompson Sue Thonen Donita Walker and Chris Watkins. The first Christmas pageant presented by sixth graders featured Mary Joseph Wisemen and narrators with angels shepherds and more. It was directed by Mrs Peterman and supported by multiple staff and volunteers.
