Rohrer Buys Pierce Home in Pleasant View
Mr and Mrs Charles I Rohrer have purchased the Pierce brick residence on First Street by the park, previously owned by H E Rabey. The couple, now living with Mary Deneke Rohrer’s parents, plan to move into their new home soon as Mr Rohrer works in the Ohio Boxboard offices. The Pierce property was built by H E Rabey who moved to Cleveland. The Brethren church holds Christmas exercises December 24 at 7 00 PM in the Realty Block. Girl Scouts Christmas sale December 22 at Karl Hoover’s office.

Present Village Council Holds Last Session
The village council concluded its term with a regular meeting. They approved a pay ordinance of about 100 dollars and discussed future investments by new members. A request from the Howard A. Fair Post American Legion for 10 dollars for repairs and painting of the post office pole was considered. A 454 dollar bill for contractor Trippeer on the Salt Street project was not paid after a tie vote, the mayor casting the deciding vote. The mayor briefly noted past work by the council before adjournment.
