Local liquor raid ends with Logos guilty and fined

Marshal and deputies raided Jules Logos at his home on the Albeyy Goffinet farm near Hitt man and seized iron brew and wine. Logos pled guilty to possessing liquor and was fined 500 plus costs. 800 was suspended and 200 plus costs paid as first offense. Authorities assert county power extends to liquor violations within its borders.

Auto Club Plans Community Christmas Tree in Progress

Rittman Auto Club announces a community Christmas tree on the square lighting at 8:30 PM Christmas Eve. Donations from Ohio Boxboard Co and Ohio Salt Co cover the $200 cost. Santa will distribute candy and oranges with toys. A father and son banquet and charity efforts for soldiers and the needy are also planned.
