Night police officer Ed Mills questioned over move to Rittman

Speculation rose as real estate transfers show Ed Mills and his wife selling a Chester township farm to Judson and Margaret E. Wylie and buying a Wooster lot. Mills, appointed September 20, 1951, said he had no decision to move yet and was attempting to sell his Congress farm with crops and implements still on hand.

Indians To Meet Wooster Friday

Rittman's Indians, with a 2–1 record, travel to face Wooster tomorrow night as underdogs. They beat Millersburg 59–36, lost to Orrville 41–33, and beat Smithville 45–39. the game closes the 1951 schedule, with next contest set for Jan. 4 against Wadsworth.

D of A Christmas party features music and gifts

D of A members attended the Christmas party and gift exchange at Rohrer hall on Tuesday evening December 18. A chicken dinner was served at 6 30. The group sang carols with piano accompaniment by Mrs. Russell Coffman and others. Santa distributed gifts to all in attendance.

Son in Hospital After Korean War Wound

Mrs. Joseph Gaborsky Sr. returned Sunday from visiting her son, Cpl. Joseph Gaborsky Jr., at Camp Atterbury Indiana. He was wounded in action in Korea and remains hospitalized there. Heavy Snow Strands Rittman Area Amid Cold Wave

Rittman and much of the eastern U S endured a deep cold snap with unofficial 8 inch snow totals. Wooster recorded 13 below zero while nearby towns reported double digit lows. City crews worked around the clock to clear streets using all equipment, as forecasts warned of more snow and near zero temperatures.
