Rittman to Consider Costly Water System Upgrade
City Manager Gosney says a refined water system for Rittman could cost from 50 000 to 300 000 dollars. Two methods under study include a manganese zeolite resin bed or a sodium zeolite resin bed to remove iron and manganese. Some homeowners report red or black water, caused by iron and manganese. flushing hot water tanks can lessen the problem.
