Three Youths Caught After Robbery Report
Three Barberton youths were arrested in Rittman after returning to the crime scene of an Ace-Hi Service Station break in. Willam Richardson 17 Jack Dague 18 and Hulen Brown 19 were charged with breaking and entering. Batteries tires and cash were stolen. the register found wrecked on County Road 70.

Youths Arrested After Early Morning Barberton Robbery
Chief Heffelman and Patrolman Lewis staked out Richard son home then tracked the suspects to Barberton where ten car batteries were dumped at a 19th Street garage. Patrolman Strimlan stopped the car entering Rittman at East Ohio Avenue. the trio were jailed and questioned. Richardson and Dague confessed. Brown held. window broken with cement block. robbery lasted about five minutes.

Christmas Party Set For Dec 19 In Rittman
The Rittman Recreation Advisory Council hosts a Christmas party December 19 at 6 30 PM at the fire station for Rittman children 12 and under. Santa will greet attendees and each child will receive a Christmas treat. Tickets will not be handed out in schools this year. The party is for Rittman children only and is sponsored by a council of representatives from 20 clubs including Lions Rotary Girl Scouts PTA and Little League. Advisory Council members and firemen meet December 18 at 7 PM in Diversion Hall to pack boxes. Mel Goffinet leads boxes while Mrs. Russell Bell and Mrs. William Maus handle supplies.

Bus Driver Clyde Shook Sued Over 1999 Damages
Clyde Shook of Doylestown is named in a Wayne County Common Pleas petition seeking 1999 dollars in damages. John Seton and Grange Mutual Casualty Co of Columbus filed the suit alleging Bowman's son Robert drove east on Eastern Road, struck a ditch and utility pole, hitting Shook’s bus headed north on Two Road 94.
