Rittman Ladies Fire Auxiliary Toy Drive and Local Notices
The Rittman Ladies Fire Auxiliary sponsors toy donation boxes at Ben Franklin and Conley for the needy with gifts of new and used toys and wrapping paper. Drop boxes accept toys, large items at the fire department Thursdays 6 30 to 7 00 P M. The drive runs to December 16. The junior class plans a paper drive December 13 with curb bundles and pickups by calling 925-1163. Also reports a family trip to Louisiana and hospital news, a birth at Barberton Citizens Hospital November 5, and upcoming community meetings and events including club sessions and a basketball game between Rittman Indians and Northwestern.

Lions District 13 G including Rittman clubs donated 11,237.25 to eye research this year, part of 111,279.53 by ten districts statewide. Disbursements went to Ohio State Stat 30,000, University of Cincinnati 22,500, Case Western Reserve 35,000, Ohio State College of Optometry 15,000, Toledo Medical School 7,500. Overall Lions have given 1,115,876 to Eye Research since 1952.

Rittman Plans Parks Renaming to Honor Pioneers
The Centennial Commission proposed naming three parks and installing bronze plaques for pioneers Martin Fritz William Doyle and E J Young. A July 2 bicentennial pageant I Love America will feature a 100 voice choir and orchestra.

Medina Industry To Relocate In Rittman
Promotional Fixtures Inc. plans to move its operation from Medina to the old Boise Cascade plant in Rittman within three months, adding about 25 jobs and expanding in two to three years. Anthony Tricumi said the move aims to tap local labor and the environment, with openings in wood metalwork graphic arts and sales.
