Williams Named To Board Of Education In Ritt
Jack Williams of Shinersburg was appointed to the Rittman board of education to fill the term of Boyd Miller who resigned. He will begin at the September 8 meeting and serve about a year and a half. The board agreed to pay 70 dollars a month for a secretary in the office of Supt V A Gnarver, succeeding Miss Dale Pyne. Two applicants were considered, with Mr Garver chosen. The new secretary will be Miss Marie Haxton, a 1941 graduate of the local high school.

Charles E. King 58 a Sterling resident and former Ghip Boxboard Co employee died Thursday at Wadsworth Hospital after complications from an operation. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Arthur Carey of the First Brethren Church with Ebert Funeral Home in charge. Surviving are his widow Barbara and several children including Herman Joe Joan Homer Maurice Nancy and Billy.
