CofC Pet Show Brings Kiddies to Rittman Central Park
The playground recreation committee hosts a kiddies pet show on August 26 at Rittman central park featuring Sammy Squirrel Jimmy Skunk Peter Rabbit and Bobo the Hound. Parade starts 9 30 am and runs to 11 30 am with games prizes and a picnic dinner judged by School Superintendent Hauenstein. Mothers are invited to attend with lunches while Three Arts club provides cold drinks. Pets must be leashed and African lions are discouraged.

Wholesale Bakery To Distribute Products Widely Over State
Plans for a new wholesale bakery in Rittman advance with two lots purchased near Ohio Ave and Main St. James Black and Robert Mills will operate it, grinding flour on site to preserve wheat germ and produce whole wheat bread for northern Ohio. The project includes a basement facility, loading dock, and relaxation of deed restrictions with a five year build window.

Swimming Accident Proves Close Shave
Dick O'Brien son of Mr and Mrs Richard O'Brien of 331 N Seneca Street was knocked unconscious diving at Wadsworth pool. He struck his head on the board during a half gainer and was saved by Dean Yoder and Frank Kitts before being taken to hospital for observation. He was released after examinations found no serious injuries.
