The Rah Rahs beat Businessmen 9 to 3 in an opening second half game as Kunkler starred on the mound and Seiver pitched well for the Businessmen. Toreadors edged Salt Co 13 to 12 after a dramatic rally, Yoder homering and triple performance in a late ninth inning win.
Stockholders voted Saturday on selling Wayne County Telephone Company to Central Ohio Telephone Company. There were 634 yes votes and 16 no votes, covering all but 166 shares. Central Ohio plans to repair lines and may merge MW & C and Wayne County systems later.
A Democratic committee meeting is scheduled for Friday at MN 30 in the gotinellardom to nominate municipality and township officers. Hon. alohn McSweeny will be present.
Citizens seeking local office must file petitions with the county election board clerk by August 9 or 90 days before the election. Positions to be elected include Mayor Clerk Marshal Treasurer Council and Board of Public Affairs for the term starting January 1, 1528.

Final papers complete the sale of the F A Smith property on Main Street to Dr J O Shong this Tuesday. Mr Smith plans to erect another residence near the old location as soon as arrangements are finalized.
The Central Ohio Telephone Co and The Fred W. Allbrecht Grocery Co contribute to the community fund. Donations are 25.00 and 10.00 respectively, showing local business support for civic projects.

Bids are to be received for paving this road portion with completion by October 1, 1027 for one section and December 89, 1027 for the other. The paving will improve access from Rittman to Wadsworth Cleveland and other points en route, ensuring a better road.
Mrs Mary Tinsler 77, Marshallville, died at home Sunday after brief illness. Survived by a son two daughters and a grandson. Funeral Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev J H Clymer. Burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
