Rabith Found Guilty On Sale Of Intoxicants In Mayoral Court
Rabith was convicted Monday afternoon in Mayor Strackleford's court of selling intoxicants on June 18. Attorney Moyes sought a new trial, sentencing was postponed, and Rabith faces possible appeal to the common pleas court. The case stems from a June 26 fight in Rabith's tavern that left one man badly beaten. Two witnesses testified they purchased liquor at Rabith's establishment. Rabith had been convicted in July on another intoxicants charge and remains under bond awaiting September grand jury action on a assault and battery charge.
