Warwick Man Dies 45 After Stabbing Fray
A Warwick man, 45, died after a stabbing at the junction of the Baltimore and Ohio and Pennsylvania railroads near Warwick. The accused, 87, Velmarisch, is jailed on a murder charge, with witness Niles Stranaburg saying Velmarisch stabbed Franks after an exchange tied to a railroad strike. Franks, 32, a union railworker on strike, was identified by Franks as the assailant before dying at Citizens Hospital.
