Ohio Injector Company invites residents of Rittman and nearby areas to the Wadsworth plant addition opening on Wednesday August 8 1925. Visitors may tour all departments from 2 to 4 pm, with an evening program of music dancing and refreshments from 7 30 pm to midnight. The event promotes the plant’s work in valves injectors ejectors lubricators and other steam devices.
Mrs J J Gannon hosted a nine-seat bridge luncheon at Brookside Country Club last Thursday. Snapdragon decorations, place cards, and favors set a festive scene for progressive bridge and music in the drawing room. High score went to Mrs Ed Brophy with Marian Millard next. guests included Mrs E A Millard of Cleveland, Mrs J W Stull of New York, Miss Annabelle Glenn of Coshocton, and Mesdames Rd Brophy Verne Gebhart C D St Clair and C Q Dieter of Rittman.
Eight year old Pauline Rucket, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Rucket, was taken to Wadsworth hospital Wednesday morning for adenoids removal. She tolerated the operation admirably and returned home the same day.
Last evening closed a five day Redpath chautauqua at Rittman park with 900 seats. Organizers report many signed for next year, aiming to match this year’s attendance despite a small deficit. Highlights included Montaville Flowers, Chicago band, and The Harp Novelty Company.
The prize committee of the Community Picnic at Chippewa Lake on Saturday August 18 offers rewards for selling tickets. Ed Newberry of The Ohio Salt Co. handles contest inquiries. Top adult ticket seller wins a $500 wrought iron lamp, second $50 sugar, top child ticket seller $2 worth of peanuts, next best child ticket seller a box of candy.
The Hytulan Sisters announce a carnival and street dance on the public square this Saturday evening. Planned attractions include ice cream and pink lemonade with a variety of foods. Live music will lead the event, inviting attendees to join the dancing and enjoy the evening.

Last Friday the Friday Afternoon club and their husbands enjoyed a day at Sohippewa Lake. Mrs H Wells and Mrs A J Thomas were hostesses with members driving in for tea. The men swam and shared a sumptuous lunch before dancing. Twenty-one sat to the table as guests arrived.
Miss Ida Yohey dies in a Wooster hospital and will be interred Thursday afternoon in Marshallville cemetery. She resided in Creston for several years and was a sister of Mrs. J. J. Gish.

Miau Hilda Adams, daughter of Mr and Mrs Bert Adams, was operated on for appendicitis at Wooster Q General hospital on Monday July 39. On arrival the appendix had erupted. She is receiving the best care and is expected to recover well.
The local baseball team extended its win streak by defeating Apple Creek 6 to 2 in a well played game. It started at 3 30 and lasted the full nine innings. Next Sunday Orrville visits with revenge on their minds.
Saturday evening about 11 o'clock Albert Endinger had his Star touring car demolished at the Ohioav crossing of the Erie R R. No one in the car was hurt. The car was struck first by an east bound passenger train and then by a west bound freight train. Reports vary on whether Endinger was present or others were with him.
