Growing pains at West Hill School threaten expansion plans
The West Hill School faces a continuing classroom shortage after two terms with two new rooms added two years ago. The board rejected JA and Diversion Hall options, settling on temporary prefabricated units on a rental basis with potential ownership transfer. Consolidation ideas involve Norwayne, Doylestown, and Rittman as districts weigh cooperation versus loss of tax base. The board foresees ongoing growth and questions whether to cut services, use temporary fixes, or build anew.
