Erie Railroad cuts four mail trains in new schedule

Postmaster H. F. Longenecker announces four mail trains are discontinued on the Erie line affecting east and west bound runs. Rittman will gain three trains for mail, with new rough timings noted for Erie trains 8 and 7 and B&O train 16 and 10. Patrons warned to lock mail 15 minutes before and drop at least 20 minutes before train time.

Village postpones rubbish collection dates to May 3 4 5

The Rittman Street department postpones rubbish collection. On Wednesday Thursday and Friday May 3 4 and 5 village trucks will collect all rubbish placed in containers on streets curbs or along public alleys without charge. Please have rubbish ready for collection on the first day Wednesday.

Clyde Campbell manager of the local Kroger store and clerk Madge Poe won prizes in Cleveland Sunday for the biggest increase in business in the Wooster district. D. K. Husband defends wife after Hue accident claim

Alex Kuklinski, husband of Mia Kuklinski, says in Ohio that his wife did not wish to die prior to being attacked after a Hue automobile crash on April 5. He states she sometimes talks despondently but does not mean she is tired of life and that she remains bruised and sore from the incident.

Rittman tax duplicate cut sharply under new evaluation

County Auditor Bartell announced a 20 percent reduction in land and real estate values for the 1933 tax duplicate. The drastic cut lowers Wayne county's total real estate valuation by about ten and a half million dollars, affecting farm land and village assessments and forcing tight budget measures for the coming year.
