Wayne County Students Select Team For Wooster Meet

County high school pupils gathered at Wooster High School on Saturday April 1 to choose representatives for the district meet. Rittman and other schools contested, with many Rit tman students placing in the top four across subjects such as Chemistry General Science English Algebra World History American History and French 2. Howard Shackleford Robert Witte David Fredrick Lucille Poete Ruth Beery Frederick Snyder Esther Amatutz and others earned top spots with several Rit tman winners recognized for their performance and honorable mentions.

Grange Plans Easter Arbor Day Program and May Date

The Grange met at Rittman on Friday with members and juveniles present. They discussed rescheduling the sea son ball to avoid conflicts with eighth grade commencements and planned to confer with nearby granges for a convenient date. An Easter and Arbor Day program was given by local families with music recitations dialogue and contests.

Wayne County Grand Jury Names For Next Term

The Wayne County jury commission named grand and petit jurors for the upcoming term. The grand jury will meet May 1. Mrs Boyce Returns Home After Hospital Stay

Ray Johnson Weds Viola Yund at Wooster Church

Ray Johnson and Miss Viola May Yund were married Saturday at 10 am in the Wooster Lutheran church with Rev. Paul Kelly officiating. Johnson, an Oto Boxboard Co employee, and Mrs. Johnson, a former Big Prairie postmistress, plan a Cincinnati trip then reside with the Yund family in Wooster before moving to Rittman.

At Coshocton a Muskingum Watershed Conservancy Project session voiced support for a large Ohio flood control and reforestation plan. Escape After Car Upset Near Rittman Sends Family to Hospital

On Sunday afternoon in Ohio a car driven by Mrs Naccin veered off Portage Path west of Route 94 and overturned after failing to negotiate a curve south of Rittman. Mr Naccin, his wife, and niece suffered minor injuries and were treated by Dr. O J Shong. The damaged vehicle prevented them from driving home, and Harry Halliwell transported them to Columbus.
