Warren Leavengood and Miax Minnie Blatter were married on Monday. Both are employed at the Ohio Boxboard Co. They will reside with the bride’s parents Mr. and Mrs. James M. Blatter for now.
The census bureau announced Barberton population at 18,811, up 301 from prior figures, and Kenmore at 12,083, rising 1,122 from previous estimates. The Kenmore gain represents a 7.12 percent increase.
Sheriff Lantgenheicer turned Steve Lozich over to federal agents in Cleveland on a prohibition violation. Lozich’s farm on the old Sehondel property had two recent raids, lifting raisin mash and raisin jack in the first raid and a still with more raisin jack in the second. The still was seized and Lozich was not arrested until last week when federal officials ordered the arrest.
