The Child Conservation League of the Rittman circle held a meeting at Mrs. A. G. Beery’s home. Subsection Courage discussed and papers were read. A kindergarten petition was drawn up and canvassed for input from kindergarten age children. The Board of Education heard the report. kindergarten work may be added later, pending other school questions. The Rittman circle will meet the Wadsworth circle on April 26 when Miss Wells will discuss Wadsworth kindergarten work.

Officers included Grand Chief Grace Downing and Ida Henry with Nellie Phipps directing. Afternoon sessions featured ritual work. evening program was informal and dinner served by the Presbyterian church. Next district gathering to be in Millersburg.

On April 12 Rittman high school Girls and Boys Glee clubs joined all Wayne County musical groups in a countywide event. Eight hundred sixty voices accompanied by a 300 piece orchestra performed in the Whester High School auditorium. Mr Teachout led the Rittman delegation, with transport provided by glee club friends.

Girl Scout Work Advances Rapidly Under Leaders
Under the direction of Mrs HB Sisaewand and Mrs WW Hoa the local Girl Scout organization rapidly develops into a group with aims to advance to the state level. Previous meetings saw tenderfoot tests completed and pledges taken. Meetings are held every Wednesday at 7 PM in the Legion rooms. An investiture ceremony will be held soon with the date announced at the next meeting. Girl Scouts were organized by Mrs Neakewood and Mrs Vodager who serve as leaders.
