Bellefontaine Concern Wins Sterling School Addition Contract
The Bellefontaine board awarded the general contract for the Sterling High School addition to Knowlton Construction Co. for 46 600 dollars. A Thursday meeting will discuss subcontracts and plans. The project adds two classrooms and a gym, plus a corridor and locker space. A half acre of land adjoining the grounds was bought from E H Miller for 352 dollars. Work should begin once contracts are let. Elmer Bodager was named to replace C M Jennings who resigned after moving to a new farm near Dalton.

School Board Accepts Forrer Resignation in Rittman
The Rittman Board of Education accepted Homer Forrer’s resignation at the Monday meeting. Forrer leaves April 12 to become a box factory superintendent for Atlanta Paper Co in Atlanta Georgia. The board will appoint a successor at the April 15 meeting.

Creston Man Fined For Reckless Driving Friday
Robert Snyder of Greeton was fined $15 and costs by Mayor John Baldwin for reckless driving. He struck a parked car owned by Ed Perrenod on 8 Main St near the Diana theatre, damaging the right front fender tire and wheel. Marshal Charles Heffelman investigated the accident.

Ohio State forester R R Paton urged Rotary Club members and guests to organize a shade tree commission, pass planting rules, and start an intensive fall program using American elms red oak and hard maples.
