Western North Carolina Conference Convenes in Charlotte
The Western North Carolina Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church South meets at Trinity Church in Charlotte starting November 26 for its 24th annual session. It lists 11 districts 224 charges and 95 175 members and notes climate in Piedmont and western mountains aids popularity. Only fifteen pastor appointments will change due to a four year time limit with one presiding elder among them.

Man Dies After Rock Attack. Suspect Nabbed in Durham

W. W. Finley of the Southern Railroad died at his Washington home yesterday from apoplexy. Thomas Martin Emerson, president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, died in Washington at 11 PM from acute indigestion. Both men were close friends of the South.
