Body of Last High Pointer From High Point Killed in France
The War Department says Sergeant Wilfie L. Underwood of High Point was killed in the Meuse Argonne offensive on November 10, 1918. His remains shipped from France are due in New York next week and then will be sent home for interment. He served with the 122nd Infantry, 1st Division, trained at Camp Jackson and Camp Sevier, and was the last High Pointer to be killed in action.
