Guilford county officers arrested a 41 gallon copper still five miles northwest of Greensboro and helped seize a 75 gallon capacity still in Rockingham county. Sheriff D B Staf ford and deputy Mike Caffey acted on a tip and found the 41 gallon still in good working condition along a small stream off the Battleground highway toward Guilford College. Four barrels of deer were poured out. No arrests were made.

Guilford county deeds filed with Register R. H. Wharton show High Point township accounting for eight of fourteen transfers. Deals include J. A. Newton to N. L. Dr. J. M. Tomlinson of Archdale aged 85 suffered a severe stroke Friday morning and remains in serious condition. He is a respected physician with two surviving this era and his children J. E. Tomlinson of Greensboro H. A. Tomlinson of Sparta Ir and Mrs. J. W. Petty of Greensboro were summoned. A daughter Miss Hattie Tomlinson remains at the Archdale home.

On Sunday November 7 Highland Hill Sunday school held a rally to form two divisions the red and blue led by a girl and two boys as captains. The soldiers will tally as many brigade members as possible before the time runs out.
