High Point Methodists Exceed Campaign Quotas In Education Drive
Methodists across the city conducted a Sunday drive to fund higher Christian education. Three churches Wesley Memorial Main Street and East End surpassed their combined quota of 37 399 by collecting 39 620 35 with Wesley Memorial raising 32 211 85 and Main Street 6 397 50 while East End gathered 1 011. The effort involved 100 workers meeting at Wesley Memorial and starting canvassing at two o clock. Funds will aid several state Methodist colleges and educational improvements.

Kenneth Chadwick Dies at 18 Months in Local Home
Kenneth Chadwick aged 18 months, son of Mr and Mrs M H Chadwick, died Monday night at 403 Kearns Street after a one day illness. Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday at 4 pm by Rev A L Fletcher of Southside Baptist Church. Interment followed in Oakwood Cemetery.

Peach Growers of Moore Pleased With Contract Results

Hundreds attended the funeral for Thomas W. Albertson held Sunday at Prospect Church two miles from the city. Rev. Lewis McFarland led services with Young Albertson assisting. Albertson served in France with Company ?, 306th Supply Train, 81st Division. American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars members attended. A Winston-Salem National Guard firing squad fired three volleys over the grave and taps followed.
