A large crowd attended the two act musical comedy Girls Incog presented by the Misses Burkheimer under Friendship Hall. Elizabeth Cowenhaven starred in Jinger Boo Man with strong dancing by Buncke and Woodson. Hood's Orchestra provided music and proceeds benefited Friendship Hall.
The High Point Industrial Club invites all city citizens to attend an important meeting at the Sherrod Building in the Club Rooms Friday night February 7 at 7 39 PM. Attendance is urged for good citizens willing to cooperate with the committee in charge. no obligation is required. Fred N. Tate, President.
Mrs H F Stamey mother of the editor was injured Sunday morning at her daughter’s South Main Street home when she slipped in the kitchen. A bone in her left limb was broken and she is in serious condition and confined to bed. Dr J T Burrus set the broken bone.
The Red Men Improved Order of Red Men will host memorial exercises on February 19 with Dr D L James of Greenville and incoming Great Sachem Roy Co presiding. Past Great Sachem Stamey will lead, W E Herndon as Jr Sagamore. Only three deaths mark twelve years of history. Music by select quartettes and an invited public program.
