Mrs. Elizabeth Kennedy aged 64 died at her Star home after a long illness. Survived by husband W. H. Kennedy two sons Ernest Monunedy and Rev Arthur Kennedy and a daughter Miss Edith Kennedy. Body to Prospect for funeral at 2 oclock conducted by Rev A S Parker. Attendees included relatives and Rev Porter along with several Star residents. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Deputies Seize Two Copper Illicit Stills on McIntire Farm
Deputy Sheriffs J E Wagner and W D Martin and Revenue Officers J H Johnson and R L White raided P C McIntire’s farm near the city Tuesday night. They seized two copper stills with capacities of 100 and 40 gallons, plus liquor and about 1 700 gallons of beer. No arrests were made as a man fled after a dog alarmed the raid. McIntire had offered a reward for the owner and operator.

Workman Seriously Injured in Exposition Building Incident
M. W. Brown of Richmond, a 22 year old elevator installer, was struck by falling material from the Furniture Exposition building as a strong wind blew debris from the top. He suffers a juncture lung and is in critical condition at a local sanatorium. Brown has been in High Point for several weeks.

Merchandise valued around 150 dollars was stolen from Pickett and Foweler near the Highland cotton mill Tuesday night or Wednesday dawn. Two men were seen fleeing by residents, and are believed to be the robbers. Rabinowitz advertises big discounts on shoes hats clothing and furnishings.
