Milligan homestead in Iredell County historic farm
The Milligan family settled the large farm near Stony Point on the Alexander county line in the early 1800s. A log house built in 1804 stands amid hollyhocks and old flowers, with a massive white oak shading a quarter acre, said to have been as large as a man in 1904. The site reflects Iredell’s early development.
