At a special city council meeting on Thursday night principals for local public schools were elected along with a number of teachers for next year. The superintendent A A Taylor advised the teacher appointments but the superintendent position was deferred pending a future meeting. Motorcycle Collision on Greensboro Road Injures Riders
W B Young of Walnut Cove collided his motorcycle with J H Tate’s auto on Greensboro road Monday afternoon. Young was thrown clear and badly bruised. Burley Hayes, riding in the motorcycle basket, was slightly injured. Tate escaped injury as his car sustained only slight damage.

Fatal motorcycle crash near Thomasville of Winston-Salem men
Clarence Hauser aged 35 of 14th Street Winston-Salem died at the local hospital after a motorcycle turned turtle on return from Greensboro carnival. Companion Charles Marshall 11th Street Winston-Salem suffered a bruised leg and lacerations. Eyewitnesses said Hauser drove at high speed around a sharp curve. Hauser died minutes after hospital arrival. Marshall was seriously injured.

Motorcycle Collision on High Point Road
Monday night around nine near High Point Road a motorcycle ridden by M. L. Albertson was struck by a car driven by Mr. Glenn. The machine was badly damaged but no injuries occurred. Albertson’s family rode in the sidecar and he had moved aside to let the car pass.
