A Sunday afternoon crash six miles west of Greensboro involved J B Smith his wife and five children all injured with Mrs Smith possibly fatally. An embankment saved others as three more wrecks followed on the Glensboro High Point road including Overland Chevrolet Buick and Ford. A separate Jamestown incident damaged a Buick driven by Miss Yary Alice Tate and passengers Edna Walland and Mrs Ben Moore with injuries: Ben only sustaining finger injuries.

H L Reed of Thomasville, arrested last week for reckless driving, submitted to charges and paid the $44.60 in costs and damages after his auto collided with Mendenhall’s car near a named location. Reed had on hand two empty bottles labeled Porto Rican Bay Rum and Witch Hazel when arrested.

Cadet Vestal Arrested for Passing Worthless Checks
Cecil Vestal, a white man from Winston-Salem, was arrested Saturday night in Salisbury on charges of passing worthless checks.
