The notice states the paper costs two dollars per year payable six months in advance. Subscriptions require at least six months and will not be discontinued until arrears are settled. Ads run three times at one dollar per square, plus twenty five cents for each subsequent insertion, all to be paid in cash.
Dr Henry H Krider announces the opening of an apothecary in Bloomsburg offering a general assortment of medicines and related goods to friends and the public.
An 1821 Bloomburg notice states Dr. Reider offers professional services to friends and the public, pledging indefatigable care and diligence to merit continued patronage. It mentions sale terms for various surgical instruments and related items, dated October 17, 1821.
A formal proclamation in the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is issued by Governor Joseph Hiester. The document asserts official state power and governance commands from the executive office.
Governor Andrew Gregg proclaims John Findlay and Phow Murray duly elected to the U S House to fill vacancies created by resignations in 1821. The proclamation cites districts Cumberland Franklin Adams Perry and Northumberland Union Columbia Luzerne Bradford Susquehanna Lycoming Tioga Potter M Kean, dated October 30, 1821.
The assignees Daniel Montgomery Thomas Roadside and William Montgomery are appointed by the Court of Common Pleas of Columbia County to collect debts and property due to Andrew Runyen of Gattawissa Township. Creditors and debtors must deliver accounts and demands promptly. Dated October 1821.

Bloomsburg announces a new stock of goods including saddlery dry goods groceries hardware hollow ware chests and glassware plus fur hats straw bonnets and more offered at reduced prices for cash or country produce. Also notes a militia meeting at William Brewer’s house in Bloomsburg with a first mate appointment for the 7th Regiment Pa Militia.
A Danville notice states a former Mrs Spence and later William Mesler property is now a public house. The keeper promises abundant liquors and ready accommodation for gentlemen at courts or arbitrators, with hay oats and horse feed on moderate terms. November 7.
Gabriel Reeser informs the public that he will occupy the tavern stand on the Berwick to Boston turnpike once kept by Peter Stair about 40 miles from Berwick. He plans to offer liquor and full amenities for men and horses and seeks public support to cover losses, promising affordable high quality accommodations starting November 7.
A notice from Sheriff John Underwood of Danville offers a five dollar reward for the return of Abraham Steel a German born child about three years old five feet six inches tall with straight black hair and limited English. He wore an old blue coat striped tow cloth pants an old hat and shoes when he escaped. Any person delivering him to the county jail will receive the reward and reasonable charges. Dated October 27 1824.
All interested persons are notified that the applicant has filed for relief under state acts for insolvent debtors. The Court of Common Pleas of Columbia County has set the first Monday in January for a hearing with creditors at the Danville courthouse.
