The notice states the paper costs two dollars per year payable in advance every six months. Subscriptions require at least six months and will not be discontinued while arrears exist. Ads run three times at one dollar per square with twenty five cents for each further insertion and must be paid in cash.
Vector Henry H. Krider announces the opening of an apothecary in Bloomsburg offering a general assortment of goods to the public.
Drugs and medicines oils paints glass pottery and dyes will be sold at reasonable cash terms or for country produce. Surgical instruments offered. Doctor Krider extends professional services and asks for patronage in Bloomsburg dated October 17 1821.
Philip Goodman announces cash payments for hops at market price. Date noted October 3 1824.
In the name and by the authority of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Joseph Hiester, Governor, exercises official power. The fragment confirms formal gubernatorial action under state authority.
The proclamation states Jol Findlay and Thomas Murray Junior were duly elected to the U S House of Representatives to fill vacancies caused by resignation. It confirms the election results from the fifth and ninth congressional districts and announces the Governor’s formal declaration. The document bears the date October 30, 1821, and carries the Great Seal of the State.
Creditors and debtors of Andrew Runyen in Callawissa township Columbia County are notified that the undersigned have been appointed assignees by the Court of Common Pleas under insolvent laws. All indebted persons must pay over sums and property due to Runyen and deliver accounts without delay. Danville Oct 3 1824.

The dealer announces a new stock in Bloomsburg including saddlery dry goods groceries glassware hollow ware hats and bonnets cutlery tin ware paints dyes and more. Goods are offered for cash or country produce with emphasis on reduced prices and seasonable assortment.
At a Bloomsburg gathering of field officers led by William Brewer on Monday the 22d current month the 7th Regiment Pa Militia made several new commissions.
Danville announces Josiah McClure has taken the former Spence and Heslet property as a public house. He promises good liquors and suited accommodations for gentlemen attending courts or arbitrators on moderate terms. Horses will be fed with hay and Oats. attention to horse care is stated. Danville November 7.
Gabriel Keeser informs the public that he will occupy the tavern stand on the trnpike from Berwick to Foster ton ten miles from Berwick formerly run by Peter Stair. He plans to serve liquors and provide horse and man accommodations. He has suffered losses and asks public support to recover costs. Accommodations will be cheap and of the best quality. November 7.
Describes Abraham Steel a German born man about 30, five feet six to eight inches tall with dark hair and limited English. He fled on Tuesday the 23d instant, wearing an old blue coat striped tow pantaloons old hat and shoes. Reward five dollars and charges to be paid by John Underwood Sheriff Danville October 27 1824.
All interested persons are notified that the debtor has applied to the Court of Common Pleas of Columbia County for relief under debtor acts. The court has set the first Monday in January for the hearing at the Danville courthouse. Creditors may attend if they think proper.
