Atlantic Basin ferry plans face community pushback in Red Hook
The Empire Development Corporation has yet again shelved a potential Atlantic Basin revival. A 2007 plan envisioned a marina with marine services. a 2010 upland program proposed festival and market uses at Pier 11. community roundtables failed to yield action while local leaders vow to demand a hearing. Environmental review and a public scoping meeting are slated for September 28.
