Stop and Frisk Study Highlights 76th Precinct Bias
The RHI and community volunteers presented survey results on Stop and Frisk in Red Hook and along Van Brunt Street. Of 761 surveys, 53 percent reported stops in three years. 55 percent of those stopped were black, 57 percent Latino. The group argues policing is biased and plans an app to log 502 stops with location, time, and force details.
