Memorial Day honor for Buddy Scotto and Red Hook festival events
Carroll Gardens figure Buddy Scotto was honored by State Senator Marty Golden at a Memorial Day breakfast. He spoke of meeting Pope Pius XII during European leave and urged love among neighbors. The Red Hook Fest runs June 4–7 with free activities, music by Chop and Quench, Sahr Ngaujah, Soul Movement, and A Palo Seco, plus kayak rides and a scavenger hunt.
