Summer events kick off with art shows and festivals in Red Hook
Week 1 offers gallery hours at 416 Van Brunt Street for the 21st Century Urban Masters exhibit by New York City high school artists to fund college. Red Hook Fest opens at PS 15 Daly School with hip hop theater, then moves to Louis J. Valentino Park for outdoor performances, vendors, and kayaking. A plastic ocean fundraiser at Littlefield features live music and a raffle benefiting Project Kaisei. Rooftop yoga at Element Natural Healing Arts runs Sundays with paid and donation classes, plus free offerings at local venues.
