Justice Center Restitution Crew Improves Red Hook Neighborhood
Derek Goddard supervises the Neighborhood Restitution Crew at the Red Hook Community Justice Center. The group assigns community service for light offenses instead of jail, cleaning and painting projects such as River of God Church basement and Visitation Church garden prep for a pre-K program. Goddard, a Red Hook native with a contracting background, coordinates supplies and worker welfare.
