Ambulance delay costs Red Hook father life

Danny Cruz Jr. 40, night watchman at Prospect Park Rink, died after a late ambulance arrival. His wife Tynisha struggled to reach 911 and alert police as more than twenty minutes passed before EMS and fire units responded. He left three daughters Tea Savanna and Angel. donor organs will aid others.

Family man Danny Cruz remembered at Rockaways funeral

A crowd honored Danny Cruz at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in the Rockaways where he grew up. The 40 year old died after an asthma attack May 28 while feeding his children and was kept on life support until May 30 as an organ donor. Burial followed June 10 at Cypress Hills Cemetery.
