Port Authority Pitches Rail At Local Meeting
On January 7 State Senator Velmanette Montgomery hosted a waterfront and industrial development meeting at the YWCA on Atlantic Avenue. The Port Authority Cross Harbor Freight Program was presented as officials weighed rail barge and tunnel options to relieve truck congestion and meet future demand with a public hearing set for February 3, 2015.
