BASIS School Plan Survives CB6 Vote In Red Hook
At the December CB 6 meeting the board rejected a committee's caution and approved BASIS Independent School's plan to build a 1000-student campus in a manufacturing zone near Columbia and Bay. BASIS aims to open next September with tuition of 23500 dollars, despite limited local housing within a 500 foot notice radius. A petition drive by Corbin Laedlin gathered over 100 online signatures urging postponement to hear BASIS.
