Red Hook Relief Sustains Neighbors With Food Aid
Jacqui Painter and Red Hook collaborators launched Red Hook Relief at the start of Covid to aid seniors and vulnerable residents. Weekly food boxes reach about 130 homes with Saturday distributions, emergency deliveries, and water provisions in partnership with Redemption Red Hook Church and Red Hook Initiative. Volunteers are recruited via flyers and networks at Red Hook Senior Center, with support from Maria Sanchez and community leaders.
