UPS Red Hook facility sparks local traffic and land use questions
A new UPS distribution site at Red Hook drives concern over traffic moves and land use as the firm expands in the Northeast. The plant mirrors an Atlanta hub with automated sorting, aiming to boost efficiency and handle regional package flows from sorting to truck or air transport when needed. The project follows a multi parcel land deal totaling hundreds of millions and joins other UPS sites in Dallas Fort Worth and beyond.
