Earl Edgar Former Potter Resident Dies in Washington
Earl Edgar 18 son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Edgar died March 17 at his Goldendale Washington home after a diabetes illness. Born in Logan County Colorado he lived near Potter Nebraska with his parents before 1931 and attended Potter schools. He completed high school in Goldendale class of 1938. Funeral at Holy Trinity Church with Father Lee officiating. Burial in Goldendale IOOF Cemetery. Survived by his parents five sisters and three brothers, plus numerous relatives.

House Moved to Studnicka Farm North of Town
The Laferty house, recently purchased by the village and sold to Fred Studnicka, was relocated by W C Sheets and crew to the Studnicka farm north of town. The move spanned 14 miles due to road closures, crossing fields to avoid the reconstruction route. Studnicka praised the job noting no broken windows and a beer bottle left upstairs remained upright. Robert Gunderson Sr. 62, longtime Potter Dix resident and oldest native born citizen, was buried at V Pot ter cemetery after services in Dix on March 25 1939. Funeral at Union Presbyterian church featured sacred music by local singers and a pallbearer group including Gene Binning and Chas Campbell.

Mrs. Nellie Hardy, 56, of Alliance, drowned when her car left the highway and overturned in a swamp near Kimball.
