Five Killed in Rear End Collision Near Potter
Five people died and two were seriously hurt in a rear end crash near Potter when Extra No. 501 struck the rear of Extra No. 504 a seven miles east of Potter. Conductor Roy Phillips and brakeman Charles Credit were among the dead, with stockmen from Idaho also reported among the victims. Conflicting signals and misapplied orders are cited as causes as the trains collided near Gothenberg.

Pleasant Surprise Party at Ledingham Home
Mrs A Ledingham directed a surprise party at 8 pm Monday for the laird of the manor. Friends enjoyed games music and singing including Scotch songs by Mr Ledingham. Sandwiches pickles cake and coffee were served at midnight before guests left pleased with the evening.
